INDICATIONS: Treatment of edema associated w/ CHF
CONTRA INDICATIONS: Hepatic cirrhosis & ascites, hepatic coma, severe electrolyte depletion
PRECAUTIONS: DM, electrolyte imbalances must be corrected before initiating therapy
SIDE EFFECTS: Dehydration, hypokalemia, hyponatremia, metabolic acidosis
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Aminoglycosides, ethacrynic acid, high dose of salicylates, tubocurarine, succinylcholine, lithium & norepinephrine
